GREAT SONGS FROM THE 1950'S TO THE 1990'S
Most recently (starting in April, 2023), I've been doing covers of favorite songs from the 1950's to the 1990's. I've only just started, so the playlist of my covers is likely to get much larger over time!
SONGS FROM THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK
This playlist includes my favorites from the canon of the most important and influential American popular songs and jazz standards from the 1920's to the 1950's that have stood the test of time in their life and legacy.
HEART SONGS (SONGS BY CHRIS TONG)
This playlist includes some of the songs I've written over the years, from 1975 to the present. I never released any of the songs when I wrote them. So it has only been recently — from 2020 to the present — that I've begun arranging and releasing recordings of these songs. This page includes an album I released in 2021, Heart Songs, which contains 7 of my songs. The other 8 songs I've released (so far) are also listed on this page.

My all-time favorite group. Here's a playlist with the Beatles songs I've sung so far. I'll be adding (perhaps many) more over time.

I love holiday music! Here's a playlist with a few of the holiday songs I've sung. I'll probably add some more each holiday season!

SONG SAMPLERS. I've created several "song samplers":SHORT CHRIS TONG SONG SAMPLER #1
For example, the first song sampler runs from the semi-operatic (The Sound of Music), to pop/rock duets (The Time of My Life), to Latin (Sway), to R&B (On the Wings of Love), to The Great American Songbook (The Way You Look Tonight), to songs from a wide range of artists including the Bee Gees (How Deep Is Your Love), Huey Lewis (The Power of Love), Jim Croce (I‘ll Have To Say I Love You In A Song), Petula Clark (My Love), and Tony Bennett (I Left My Heart in San Francisco), to one of my own songs (Didn’t Say).
SHORT CHRIS TONG SONG SAMPLER #2
This playlist has completely different songs from the first short song sampler, but, like the first sampler, contains a wide variety of songs and singing styles — from classic selections from the Great American Songbook (Once Upon a Time, the semi-operatic Maria from West Side Story, a duet version of Moon River); to the Beatles (I Want to Hold Your Hand); to songs made famous by many other artists: Johnny Mathis (Misty), John Denver (Annie's Song), Gordon Lightfoot (If You Could Read My Mind), Dusty Springfield (The Windmills of Your Mind), the Bay City Rollers (I Only Want To Be With You), Richard Marx (Right Here Waiting), and Sting (Fields of Gold); to one of my own songs (Space Girl 2).
SHORT CHRIS TONG SONG SAMPLER #3
This playlist has completely different songs from the first two short song samplers, but, like the first two samplers, contains a wide variety of songs and singing styles — from classic selections from the Great American Songbook (Nature Boy, On the Street Where You Live, Our Love Is Here To Stay); to the Beatles (She Loves You); to well-known songs I have majorly transformed (The Windmills of Your Mind and Simon & Garfunkel's Scarborough Fair); to songs made famous by many other artists: England Dan and John Ford Coley (I'd Really Love To See You Tonight), Neil Diamond (Play Me), Dan Fogelberg (Longer); to my own songs (Didn't Say and Mary's Song).
A LONGER CHRIS TONG SONG SAMPLER
If you enjoy my music, this may be the playlist for you! It contains an hour and a half of music, including many of the songs from the three shorter song samplers, as well as a few songs that are not in any of the shorter song samplers — including songs from The Beatles (All My Loving) and Bread (Make It With You).
